A very warm welcome to Archdeacon John Lewis Church in Wales Voluntary Aided Primary School.

At Archdeacon John Lewis Church in Wales VA Primary School, everyone is welcome. Whilst our school is founded on Christian values and traditions, we are proud to serve and celebrate a diverse community of children and families from all faiths, cultures and backgrounds, as well as those with no faith. We are committed to ensuring that every member of our school family feels respected, included and valued, creating a caring environment where all can learn, grow and flourish together.

We are a small and nurturing Anglican primary school serving the community of Brackla and the surrounding areas of Bridgend. As a close-knit school family, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential. Our Year 6 pupils continue their educational journey at Archbishop McGrath Catholic High School, and we work closely with families to prepare them for this important transition.

At the heart of our school is a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences that enable all children to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Guided by our Christian vision and values, we strive to create an environment where every child can flourish and develop the confidence, skills and knowledge they need for the future.

Our values are rooted in Christian teachings and virtues. We encourage our pupils to show compassion, gratitude and generosity; to be attentive and reflective in their thinking; to make wise and discerning choices; and to be truthful, respectful and eloquent in all that they do. These values shape our relationships and help to create a caring and inclusive community where everyone is encouraged to contribute and belong.

Our school has a strong family atmosphere, and we are extremely proud of the care, support and opportunities we provide for all members of our school community. We work in partnership with parents, carers, governors, the Church and the wider community to ensure that our children are happy, safe and successful during their time with us.

I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at Archdeacon John Lewis Church in Wales VA Primary School.
